Are you an experienced data scientist, engineer with a passion for innovation? We are looking for you! We create AI-driven solutions to optimize yield forecasts for the soft fruit industry, leveraging IoT, live data, and advanced modeling. With flexible work options, a competitive salary, and a dynamic start-up culture, this is your chance to shape the future of AgriTech and sustainability.
You and your colleagues will be working on creating innovative data solutions for our agri (soft fruit sector) customers, which will support them in optimizing their yield forecasts.
Based on a continuous flow of live data collected with our IoT devices, customers data sources and external data sources.
You will have direct influence on our datascience vision, strategy, technology, data architecture and execution within YieldComputer. This includes research & development of existing and new vision-, prediction- and analysis- models.
Data-engineering is needed to keep data quality high and build new features for our models. Monitoring is crucial in optimizing our data-quality, so you will also develop dashboards to gain more and real-time, insights in our collected data and model predictions.
*) Our office is based in Eindhoven at Strijp-T. You are flexible to work 50% from home, but we have some mandatory working days together at the office.
YieldComputer is an AgriTech start-up which is using (AI) technology and IoT, to help the soft fruit sector (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries) to drastically improve the accuracy of their harvests forecasts. With our product, this primary sector can become more resilient and sustainable, by having a better negotiation and/or partner position, through better information, towards the large purchasing retailers.
More accurate yield forecasts also lead to a more efficient and sustainable use of resources. Surpluses are identified timelier and as a result fresh soft fruit is less unnecessarily sold and processed industrially or disposed as waste. In addition, fruit, in which many resources have been put, is prevented from remaining unnecessarily in the field.
